Clarksville Montgomery County Animal Services

Animal Shelter

The Montgomery County Animal Control and Adoption Service, 1231 Highway Drive, is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. For animal viewing and adoption, the shelter is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday.

The primary functions are to help control the animal population, investigate dog bite cases and rabies control.

If you have an unwanted pet, Animal Control suggests to find it a home. The shelter will accept your pet if you are a Montgomery County resident, but that animal has the chance of being euthanized.

The shelter does not pick up dead animals. The Street Department is responsible for disposing of dead animals found on city streets.

Call 648-5750 or go to www.montgomerycountytn.org and click Animal Control. For emergencies involving dog bites, call the police or Sheriff's Office, or 911.

Humane Society

The Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County provides reduced-cost spaying-neutering and pet care assistance to eligible pet owners, pets for adoption through foster homes, dog bite prevention and pet care programs to any group, and a 24-hour help line for pet-related information.

Call 648-8042 or e-mail humanesociety@clarksville.com.
