Marriage Licenses
Marriage license applications are handled through the County
Clerk's Office, 350 Pageant Lane, Suite 502.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
Both the bride and groom must both be present and have a government-issued picture ID containing date of birth.
The fee to receive a marriage license for Tennessee residents is $95 cash. Applicants who have attended four hours or more of premarital counseling pay only $35 for a license. Applicants must provide a Certificate of Completion with an authorized signature from an approved instructor.

Notaries
Applications for notary commissions are submitted to the County Clerk's Office, 350 Pageant Lane, Suite 502.Upon renewal, a blue-colored ink seal is required. Price for the original notary commission and stamp is $34. If the notary already has a blue stamp, the price is $12.

Voter registration is handled by the Montgomery County Election Commission, located in Veterans Plaza at 350 Pageant Lane.To register:
You must be a citizen of the United States.
You must be a resident of the state of Tennessee.
You must be 18 years old on or before the next election.
You must have never been convicted of a felony, or have had your rights restored as required by law.

Archives
The Montgomery County Archives, 350 Pageant Lane, Suite 101-D,
contains nearly all the pre-1950 records of Montgomery County.
With some exceptions, the agency has both original and microfilm
copies of these records. Jill Hastings-Johnson is the county archivist.
