Marriage Licenses

Obtaining a Marriage License in Clarksville/Montgomery County Marriage license applications are handled through the County Clerk's Office, 350 Pageant Lane, Suite 502.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Both the bride and groom must both be present and have a government-issued picture ID containing date of birth.

The fee to receive a marriage license for Tennessee residents is $95 cash. Applicants who have attended four hours or more of premarital counseling pay only $35 for a license. Applicants must provide a Certificate of Completion with an authorized signature from an approved instructor.

Applications for notary commissions are submitted to the County Clerk's Office, 350 Pageant Lane, Suite 502.

Upon renewal, a blue-colored ink seal is required. Price for the original notary commission and stamp is $34. If the notary already has a blue stamp, the price is $12.

Archives Clarksville/Montgomery County Tennessee The Montgomery County Archives, 350 Pageant Lane, Suite 101-D, contains nearly all the pre-1950 records of Montgomery County.
