First-time passports for those 16 or older are $97, and are
valid for 10 years, and first-time passports for those younger
than 16 are $82 and valid for five years.

www.travel.state.gov.
The U.S. Department of State now has a waiting period of up to five months for standard and six weeks for expedited passports. For expedited applications, contact must be made with the Clerk's Office for information.
