Roxy Regional Theatre

Roxy Regional Theatre This historic downtown movie hall, called The Lillian when it opened in 1913, now houses a top-notch theater production group. The Roxy Regional Theatre presents works ranging from modern dramas to Broadway musicals to Shakespearean classics.

Since 1983, Roxy artistic directors Tom Thayer and John McDonald have brought 10 or more productions to Clarksville every season. At least 8,000 school children see a Shakespeare production at the Roxy each year. In addition to functioning as a community theater and making stars of local actors, the Roxy has in recent years brought in a company of professional actors to perform in several productions each season. McGregor Park and RiverWalk

McGregor Park McGregor Park is built on the banks of the Cumberland River and is home to the Cumberland RiverWalk, the signature of the Queen City. The RiverWalk has a lighted walkway following the river and a handicapped-accessible playground, picnic area, pedestrian bridge and boat launch.

It’s the meeting place for commnity events such as RiverFest, Christmas on the Cumberland, a Fourth of July celebration and various concerts. The RiverWalk offers two stage areas. An amphitheater that can seat 700 people on concrete seats is built into the hillside. Another outdoor stage has lawn seating for more than 3,000 people.

At the south end of RiverWalk is a bronze statue of one of America’s most outstanding Olympic athletes: Clarksville Native Wilma Rudolph. The park also has a permanent chornological exhibit of the river’s history in the “As the River Flows” museum. Call 931-645-7476.

Kings Bluff

Kings Bluff is a Limestone Crag located here in Clarksville.

It has approximatley 170 routes, about 75% sport and the rest is mixed or traditional. It is overlooking the Cumberland River and ranges from 30 feet to 80 feet in height.

Red River Valley Park is an outdoors fun operation in Adams and Port Royal. It offere rides on the Red River by canoe, raft and kayak. Camping amenities range from RV hookups and ranch houses with hot showers to tents and primitive camping. Catered cookouts and hay rides are available as well as paintball for groups.
