The Marina
On July 11, 2009 ground was broken on a new marina near Historic Downtown Clarksville and the River District along the Cumberland River. Clarksville's goal with the new marina as well as the River District is to reconnect with it's River Heritage. This marina will be for mixed use facility offering everything from benches and trails for those who enjoy the serenity of people watching and greenways, to access via the Riverwalk to plays, museums, a Civil War Fort, restaurants and shops, festivals and other amenities the downtown, Fairgrounds and Marina District provides.
