The River District

Clarksville's growing River District runs along side the Cumberland River. It serves to recognize the importance of Clarksville's rich river heritage through festivals, events, historic displays, and focused development.

Completed Projects

McGregor Park Courtesy Dock: A 260-foot long courtesy dock. The dock's ramp connects directly to the Cumberland RiverWalk, giving boaters access to the RiverCenter, McGregor Park and downtown Clarksville via the Pedestrian Overpass.

The Riverwalk: The Cumberland RiverWalk follows along the Cumberland River for approximately .3 miles, anchoring the 13.2-acre McGregor Park. The lighted walkway offers park benches, picnic and playground areas, performance stages, an amphitheater and a pedestrian overpass that links the river to historic downtown Clarksville. Used by citizens and visitors year-round, the walkway continues on to Valley Brook Park, totaling 1.7 miles.

The River Center: This facility is used as a venue for a host of local events and outdoor festivals.
